How to Log on to ZOOM
1. You will receive an email (our you see a link posted on Facebook) to join a meeting through an online platform called “Zoom.”
2. You may use any internet enabled device or call from a phone
a. Smartphone or Tablet:
i. Download the ZOOM app from the app store and create a free account
ii. Click the link from the invite to launch the zoom app and join the meeting
i. Click on the link to download the correct software
ii. Click the link from the invite to launch zoom and join the meeting
c. Telephone (this is not recommended – but doable):
i. On your phone, dial the teleconferencing number provided in your invite
ii. Enter the meeting ID number when prompted using your keypad (also found on the invite)
iii. Simply press # again when prompted to enter in your participant ID (there is no ID, just the # key)
3. Once logged in please do the following
a. Please make sure that you have muted your microphone. If you do not mute it, then it will be very hard for everyone to hear.
You can unmute it when you want to talk.
b. You may wish to turn off your camera. Simply click on the camera icon to turn it off (note this option only exists if you are on a smartphone, tablet or computer).
4. That’s it – you are all ready to join in. When you want to talk you will be able to unmute yourself and talk. You can also use the chat feature to communicate while pastor or someone else talks.
The plan is to have a prayer and information meeting on Sunday night at 6pm. Pastor will open the room at 5:30pm so that you can log in earlier and make sure everything is working. Hopefully this will be a great way for us to connect in these times.
